Well, my sabbatical is well and truly over! After being inundated with enquiries and bookings all week it made a nice change to peel my head from out from behind my monitor and get back out there in the fresh air doing what I love the most. “Fresh being the operative word”, it’s been a particularly cold and miserable May.
Since it was forecast sunshine, I took the plunge and went for it with my first outdoor session of the year. Absolutely adorable 9 month old baby Harvey and his 20 weeks pregnant mummy Steph. Both extremely photogenic and totally at ease in front of the camera, making my job a doddle. Harvey was initially a little grumpy, full of sniffles and wasn’t the least bit impressed at being woke up from his morning nap, so we took a walk to the cafe and while mum gave him milk and snacks, I took advantage and snapped away collecting a few lifestyle shots.
Harvey soon came round and immediately warmed to the strange lady holding the big camera, it soon became apparent what an absolute little charmer this little dude was with his big blue eyes and that cheeky little grin. Enough to win over anyone’s affection, so, so sweet.
I love Temple Newsam, it’s such a beautiful place, particularly at this time of year with the spring flowers in full bloom blessing us with the most beautiful surreal Disney like backdrop which was bursting with colour. Below are few of my favorites taken on the day.
